The Brown Name in History
Comment:
As I have started to "find my roots" I have started our family tree and branches. As one of my major branches is the Brown Family. This is not the first book on names in history that I have purchased from Amazon.com and they all have been very helpful as far of why the families left their homeland and what they faced when they got to the "new" country.
Very informative and well worth the money.

My History in Words
Comment:
I found this book very interesting in the aspects
as it described and detailed where my family
originated from also what my family did in life.
I was hoping it would go into more detail on
individuals that shared the same last name as me.

A Disappointment
Comment:
This book was a real disappointment. It is way over priced for the information it contains. The majority of the book is just general history. The few pages given to the Brown name are primarily very general statistic's, i.e. what vocation's most Brown's listed, what ship's most Brown's traveled own, what countries most Brown's came from. I found little of real interest in this book.
