disappointed
Comment:
I am highly, highily disappointed to say the least of this book. I should've read the reviews before I purchased this book, if I did that I certainly would have not bought it. There is very little facts associated with my name. Out of the 85 pages in it only about 15 have anything to do with my name. This book cost $29 I think it's not even worth $5. I feel the advertisement of this book is misleading.

The most disappointing purchase I have ever made
Comment:
Perhaps it is my fault. Perhaps I did not read carefully enough; but for the price, I was expecting a full-sized paper cover coffee table book. I ordered 2 of these. One for my parents and one for my wife (re; her maiden name) as Christmas gifts. Imagine my shock when the gifts were opened and out came a flimsy paper back "pamphlet". The content was somewhat interesting though certainly not an exhaustive study of the 'name' in history. It appears to be a Cliff's Notes version of History with specific 'names' and dates plopped into certain fields. Maybe as a study guide for middle school students this would be quite nice; but don't make my mistake--this book is not suitable as a gifted for relatives and friends. My very first disappointment from Amazon, so I am doing well on that score.... but doubly surprising because it was not expected.

Disappointingly small!
Comment:
This should not be called a book- it is more like a tiny leaflet you might pick up in an exhibition - for free. I cannot believe that Amazon is selling it for $29.95. In fact if I had had more time and it wasn't a Christmas gift for my father I would have definitely returned it.
To be honest I barely looked at the contents as I was so upset at how insignificant it was in size. I would never, ever recommend it and I look forward to an explanation from Amazon as to how they can justify placing such an high price tag on such a trivial publication.

A complete waste of money.Does not live up to its name.A nonsense book that is really an embarassment. The title does not deliver the content expected.

This Item is a Rip Off!!!
Comment:
DON'T buy this!! I ordered it as a Christmas gift for my father and just received it. I was really disappointed -- the volume was very thin, and the information about my name was almost non-existent. Maybe it's worth it for a popular name like Smith, but for a rare name like mine, it sucks. I should have known, but was taken in by the novelty of the idea. It's definitely worth $30 though--it's not even worth $5. This is a huge rip off and Amazon shouldn't be selling it!
