Summary: From a Bead Quilting teacher
Comment: I teach basic Bead Quilting around the country and am constantly looking for more sources of ideas
to inspire myself and my students. Nancy's new book has wonderful explanations, great photos and
ideas to inspire bead quilters at all levels. No matter what type of bead decoration you want to
add to your quilts, you'll find something in Bead Creative Art Quilts to push you in the right
direction and get you started.

Summary: Must Have Item
Comment: For a non-quilter, but an active beader, this is an absolute "must have" book to incorporate either
or both techniques in a clear, concise, easy to learn manner. The written descriptions, followed by
the beautiful photography and/or sketches of each stitch or technique, should take a novice in
either quilting or beading to the next level. A well written book and worth every penny!

Summary: Elegant approach to beading on cloth
Comment: Lots of beading books are about making jewelry. That's not what interests me. This book turns
beads into elegant adornments. I was especially taken with the beaded kaleidoscopes. This is not a
book for those who want a delicate touch of beads here and there. This is for those who have
thousands of beads they want to use to encrust a scene or favorite piece of fabric. I can see
having the binding taken off the book and a spiral binding put on at Kinko's so it can lay flat next
to me while I am working.

Summary: Excellent for teachers of writing and writers...
Comment: This is a keeper. Although I purchased it for a grad class I am taking, I will use it for my
teaching and my own writing.
Haven't found one that is better than this one...

Summary: Written very well
Comment: Zinsser has certainly mastered the art of writing well, and therefore can speak on the topic
authoritatively. This book is not only written with humor, but with empathy for people who are
struggling with the ability to write well. The book certainly demonstrates that this ability is not
inherent, but rather it is moreso the ability to work hard, understanding that writing is a process
and a very messy one at that. This work can inspire the worst among us to really try at being the
very best writer that we potentially can be.
