great book, awful price
Comment:
I love the book and yes it is rare and hard to find. But I just got mine off ebay for $25...in great condition. Another friend got hers at a garage sale. Your price is way too high in my opinion. Too bad...this book should be read.

Snapshot of Alaskan History
Comment:
Mighty rare book. DARN GOOD ONE. I do not read usually. I didn't want to put the thing down; and twoards the end started getting sad there was fewer chapters left as the time past. Good look into life at that time. Being a Native Alaskan and also part Alaskan Native, I thought it was okay considering most books of that time considered Natives SAVAGES, it showed how a guy being an outsider learned to live with anyone in any condition. Book will take you from the eastern states to the dakotas to dawson then up to Alaska, in the era of industrial revolution (Turn of the last century) You got to know the man as he wrote about his trials and tribulations of life.. . . he was honest and let you know that People are people and you live your life the best way you know how.
