Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Not enough common names Comment: My daughter was discouraged in trying to select a common name. This book seems to focus on more of the unusual and foreign names. Customer Rating: Summary: It's in here! You are sure to find a name you like! Comment: This book is well organized, devided into boy and girl names, alphabetical and easy to read. The descriptions include alternate/similar names and basic meanings. I have to say, my husband I could not (ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT) agree on a name for our children. It took us 9 months of working at it to find a name we agreed on. Thank goodness for this book. There were names in here I had not even thought of, nor would I have ever heard of them. Thank Goodness for this book. Customer Rating: Summary: Lacking.... Comment: I was surprised how much this book was lacking. It didn't even contain names that I considered to relatively common. Also, it only lists a name under its most popular spelling (under that lising it will give alternative spellings but still...) I ended up buying a different baby name book. This one just didn't cut it. Customer Rating: Summary: Love the checklist in the back Comment: We got this book to, of course, choose a name for our son. There are tons of suggestions & meanings. I liked the small (paperback book size) size of the book...was easy to throw in my purse & take with me to kill some time at the mechanic shop when my car was getting fixed. In the back, there are two separate pages (one for Mom & one for Dad) to make a list of their favorite boy/girl names. Then you can compare your lists without the other seeing your list first. I liked that idea. And you can't beat the price! Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Book! Comment: This book had so many names that we liked - we had a hard time especially since we had to pick out two names! I would highly recommend this one! More Reviews
