Summary: Fabulous yet flawed
Comment: I quickly became engrossed in this book and read it non-stop from start to finish. I have read many
mob books and this one was one of the best. In fact, the only reason I could not honestly give it
five stars is that the author, who is part of the Kennedy family and should have knowledge of
loads of juicy stuff, balanced his intriguing personal experiences with glaring omissions regarding
the mobs ties to his family and the JFK assassination.

Comment: My first Mafia book. I now own 10 books and 4 true life movies. This book started me on an adventure
I have never come back from. It's just so amazing to know how people who never finished high school
are running multi-million dollar operations while looking over thier shoulder for cops and other
mobsters alike. Bravo, John Davis.

Comment: This was a fascinating book that provided some good insight into the rise of the Gambino family. If
you are interested in some old time Mafia stuff, this is the book for you. The only problem with it
is the incredibly long descriptions of John Gotti's three trials. Other than that, quality book.

Comment: This book covers the Gambino family from the beginning up through Gotti's conviction. The author
spared no details. The book explains how every boss of the Gambino family came to power. The
deceptions and doublecrosses are incredible. This book is an absolute must see for any Mafia
reader! A well deserved 5 stars!!!
