Summary: A Very Useful Resource
Comment: My wife and I are expecting our third child in November and we used this excellent book to help us choose a name. There are hundreds of both boys and girls names, along with different spelling combinations. The meanings of each name is also given. We found this book to be very helpful. Although we should probably be "old pros" at the baby name business, it was refreshing to find such a helpful book to assist us with this very important decision. I highly recommend this fine book. I'm sure there will be a name inside that you will like.

Summary: Two Thumbs Up!
Comment: This book was excellent. Although it's probably better for people who are just name freaks in general, and aren't necessarily expecting (such as myself ^^) , it is a lot of fun to read through and has a lot of lists of good names.

Definitely a favourite! :)
(btw, I'm not really 12, I just haven't signed up yet ;) )

Summary: Aptly titled
Comment: I'm no idiot, because I'm not having children; however, if I were, I wouldn't need to buy a book to help me give it one of the fashionable names de jour.

The whole book could be boiled down to this:

Ashleigh
Caightlyn
Montana
Dakota
Taylor
Huntyr

Summary: What a fantastic and original resource
Comment: I loved this book. So many guides out there are just lists and lists of names. Ms. Weiss did a terrific job of organizing the book into fun and different categories that made it so easy for us to choose a name for our first-born. Don't buy any other book. Just this one!!

Summary: Get a different book
Comment: While this book is reasonably well-organized and has some interesting tidbits, there's nothing particularly insightful or original about the advice contained in it. (Make sure it goes well with your last name, think twice about a very popular name or one that's hard to spell, etc. etc.) The author also discusses her own name so often that it gets boring, and misspells the names of several celebrities, which might be acceptable anywhere but in a book where the names are the whole point!

There's a multitude of baby name books out there; pick a better one.
